DVD rental on Astronomy

Astronomy is all about looking at the stars and the solar system and learning more about the universe as we know it. There are 10 planets in our solar system (including the sun). The planets are Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and lastly Pluto. The Sun is the main focus in our solar system, the Earth circles the sun, without the sun the Earth would simply be a dead planet. The suns name in astronomy terms is Sol, the sun glows bright and looks like it is on fire but in actual fact this is not the case. The sun continues to glow because nuclear reactions in the centre cause much heat which makes the sun appear as if it is glowing. The Sun is the biggest planet in the solar system.

Mercury is the next planet and is the closest planet to the sun, Mercury has no moons. If you were to move to Mercury you would weigh a lot less than you would on the planet Earth and this is due to the fact that there is less gravity on Mercury. Visiting Mercury is not much of an option, because it is so close to the sun any visitor to the planet would simply burn to death. If you did survive the intense heat of the sun then you would face another weather extreme because the plant Mercury spins at such a slow rate come night fall the temperature drops to less than freezing, so if you were to survive the day you could easily freeze at night.

Venus is the next planet in the solar system and again has no moons, it is very difficult to see due to the thick cloud cover which makes visibility of the surface difficult. Venus traps much of the suns heat and this makes Venus one of the hottest planets. From what is know about Venus it is thought to be very similar to Earth, it has valleys and mountains much the same as Earth, it also has active volcanoes but the temperature on this planet makes it almost impossible for any life to survive.

Earth is next in line and is the only planet as far as we know which has life on.

Mars is next after the Earth and its mild temperature makes Mars more like Earth than any other planet and evidence suggests that Mars used to have streams, lakes, rivers and an ocean.

Jupiter is a huge planet which has not got a solid surface. There is just atmosphere and ocean and the ocean does not have a surface, so nothing would actually float on it.

Saturn has beautiful rings around it and is in many ways similar to Jupiter although much smaller.

Uranus spins on its side and it is thought by many that a large object crashed into it many years ago, Uranus is identical to Neptune. Neptune like Jupiter has a giant storm raging. Pluto is the last planet in the solar system but unlike all the rest the scientists do not consider it as such. Not a lot of observation has been done on the planet so little is known about it .

DVD rental (DVD Verleih) about astronomy and the solar system is just one of many DVDs which can be rented via online mailing DVDs (DVD Versand) services. It is a more convenient way of renting DVDs.
